The D-35 is a studio and stage staple played by the likes of country and bluegrass household names including Johnny Cash. Often referred to as "the Workingman's Dreadnought", the D-35 is a powerful dreadnought that can fit into a variety of musical scenarios. The D-35 is denoted by the three-piece Indian Rosewood back and sides – as opposed to the two-piece design seen on the 40-series instruments and the D-28. The D-35 also features forward shifted standard X-bracing, bound Ebony fingerboard, Grover tuners, and multi-ply top and back binding. This guitar is a member of the reimagined Standard series, which all feature the new High Performance Taper neck profile and aging toner Spruce tops. Any Standard series Martins with the option of electronics offer two choices: the Fishman Aura VT Enhance system, or the LR Baggs Anthem.
