TAMA's Iron Works Studio MS757BK is an extra-long, studio-ready boom mic stand ideal for vocalists who sing and play simultaneously, drummers in need of solid overhead mic stands, and any situation where higher mic positioning is necessary. With a steel multi-plate compression tilter, die-cast adjustment collar and thumb nut, and solid-core iron boom and tripod legs, the MS757BK is engineered to perform perfectly for years to come.
Grips with no slips
Abandoning the weak tilter mechanisms used by economy-grade stands, TAMA Iron Works Studio stands utilize Vice-Grip Boom Tilters, constructed from multiple steel compression plates that grip tightly to deliver optimal angle-holding power. The stand's sturdy die-cast height-adjustment collar is also appreciated engineers who've been disappointed by the failure of flimsy plastic collars. The boom's die-cast locking thumb nut has a larger, sure-grip design that allows greater leverage for faster, easier setup and tear-down, and its high-quality threads and walls are built to last.
"Iron Works" isn't just marketing jargon
True to its name, the TAMA Iron Works Studio MS757BK extra-longboom mic stand features a solid-core iron boom arm. The arm safely secures your mic exactly where you position it, with oversized knob screws that will lock the boom in place until you're ready to adjust it. Stability is increased and wobble is minimized with a rod stopper made of tougher-than-nylon polyoxymethylene (POM). Plus, the counterweight is removable, which allows lefties to slide the whole boom out and reinsert it from the other side for dominant-hand adjustment.
Super-stable tripod base collapses to save space
The tripod base of the TAMA Iron Works Studio MS757BK is wide and stable and features a heavy-duty pivot post for each iron solid-core leg. There is a set screw integrated into the base for changing the stand height, allowing quick adjustments. Plus, with the legs folded down, the whole stand collapses for easy transportation. The MS757BK's bottom-heavy base design, with its solid-core iron legs, provides a super-stable base to support even the heaviest microphones securely.
