Care

General Maintenance: Prune only to keep desired shape. Trim off dead or dying vines and spent flowers in the winter. Bring indoors in the winter, and put outdoors during the warm summer. Does not need repotting often, every couple of years should be fine.

Temperature: Prefers warm temperatures and will not tolerate freezing temperatures. Aim to keep it between 18°C and 26°C.

Light: Needs very bright light. Full sun or partial sun are ideal. Morning sun is preferred to afternoon sun. It should get about 6-8 hours of sun per day. Keep in a sunny window during the winter when it is indoors.

Watering: Water thoroughly once the first 2-3 inches of soil are dry. Water less during the winter. Can mist to provide some humidity.

Soil: Prefers a well-draining, loamy soil that stays moist. Prefers a slightly acidic soil.

Fertilizer: Fertilize using a diluted, balanced fertilizer during the spring and summer. You can maintain the fertilizing throughout the year if it continues to bloom while indoors.
