A PROSPECT BOOK OF THE YEAR‘Challenging, forensic, compelling' SATHNAM SANGHERA‘Pure centrist erotica. A myth-busting chronicle of bad-tempered, Brexit-riven England' SUNDAY TIMES‘Wonderfully evocative. Too honest, too nuanced and too deep for any party manifesto' MATTHEW PARRISAfter an election where people voted for a politics that our new Prime Minister describes as 'treading more lightly on people’s lives', this must-read book charts a gentler course for a country that has suffered the ructions of profound change in recent decades.

Some politicians will still talk of restoring an English birthright of liberty and the swashbuckling self-confidence to rule the waves. Others yearn for the old-fashioned morality which they claim once civilised a savage world or want to look inwards to a story of an enchanted island that can stand alone and isolated against the world.

But England, by Tom Baldwin, the bestselling biographer of Keir Starmer, and Marc Stears, an influential think tank head, unravels the myths that have distorted ideas of this country and provided ammunition for culture warriors from both left and right.

Instead of vainly promising to solve everything all at once, Baldwin and Stears provide clues for how a humbler, less grandiose, set of ideas rooted in real lives can help fix some of the things that have gone so badly wrong in recent years.

They travel from muddy fields in the Home Counties to the ports of Plymouth and Hull. They visit the old industrial heartland of Wolverhampton, spend weekends in the worn-down seaside resort of Blackpool, then gaze up the gleaming towers of modernity on the edge of London and the dreaming spires of Oxford. Along the way, they speak with many different people who tell stories of England, including politicians Nigel Farage and David Lammy, campaigner Chrisann Jarrett, playwright James Graham and scientist Sarah Gilbert.

What emerges is a startlingly fresh and vivid picture of an old country that belongs to everyone, or at least, to no one in particular.

Excellent chair/great support.
Color: Black Full Mesh, Style: Executive
Excellent, comfortable chair! I was surprised at how easy it was to assemble---but the directions were super clear and all the pieces and parts were labeled. Once I received the chair, I was also surprised with the email follow up from Alice at Molents. All this for a reasonably priced chair.

Great Chair and Outstanding Customer Service
Color: Black Full Mesh, Style: Executive
I desperately needed a new office chair. I ordered this chair with the mesh seat and it spike up my sciatica. I reached out to the company and Alice took great care to address the issue. She sent me a new seat with a foam cushion and it resolved the issue immediately. The chair is incredibly comfortable with the lumbar support, adjustability and foot support. She also sent me upgraded wheels as my chair is on a thin chair mat on hard wood floors. Alice was extremely responsive with possible options and very thorough with instructions on how to replace the seat. It is a high quality chair that I anticipate will last me quite some time. I highly recommend this company and will definitely order products from them again should the need arise. Thank you, Alice!!

Great value and great customer experience
Color: Black Full Mesh, Style: Executive
I'm sure there are a lot of high quality chairs out there and this is one of them. For me, what sets this one apart is the customer experience from unboxing and assembly to customer care. The chair came in a surprisingly small box. To my surprise, the parts were wrapped in foam and then again in a high quality foil/foam packing material. Everything was well protected, densely packed, yet easy to unpack and locate the parts. The assembly process was straight forward as you might expect, but the attention to detail is remarkable. For example, the screws have thread lock (a dab of the blue "goo" to keep them from coming loose). Another example is the Allen wrench they give you. It isn't a cheap L-shaped wrench. It's a T-bar with a good sized handle. The parts all have slotted screw holes to give some tolerance in lining up the screws and a little bit of adjustment room. The instructions even showed how to use the box as a bench of sorts. You can tell the designers really thought about the assembly process. The chair came with a tag offering a free "upgraded foam seat protector cover" by sending them an email. Not only did they send one, the email response was from a human (I'm 99% positive) that asked how I liked the chair. I honestly responded that I like the arms to go down lower than this chair allows and said I might modify it. We exchanged a few messages about it and they ended up sending me some washers/spacers. It now fits my frame perfectly. Not only that, they offered to send me a different set of wheels that are more suitable for my flooring, which I took them up on. I didn't even ask! In summary, I am extremely happy with this chair and the company I bought it from. It is a fantastic value.

Great Chair! Worth the Price!
Color: Sky Blue, Size: Pack of 1
LOVE my new desk chair! I got the Sky Blue which is a really pretty blue in person. I work from home in tech, and had been getting constant headaches no matter what position I was in. I finally decided to invest in a better desk chair, and I'm SO glad I did! It's much more supportive and comfortable. I really like that I can flip the arms up or down, and the height is easy to adjust. Also, because I can flip the arms up, I can keep the chair out of the way when I'm not working by putting it right up against the desk. Very much worth the price! Assembly was simply and quick. Not even 30 minutes. Also, when I had a question about the chair, their support team was quick to respond and very helpful. Highly recommend!

Great quality chair, regardless of price.
Color: Black+white, Size: Pack of 1, Color: Black+white, Size: Pack of 1
Great quality chair, regardless of the price, period. So well packaged that it took almost as long to unwrap as assemble. Assembly was easy (loved the Allen wrench with sturdy handle). I am 6'2" and the fit and height adjustments work well for my height. Comfort is personal, so I like the semi-firmness of the seat. While the chair is constructed of heavy gauge plastic the base is solid metal with enamel finish: I love the look. The arm rests line up perfectly to my computer keyboard. I expect many, many years of service.
