Designed in 1977 by Elio Martinelli, the Tube wall lamp is a masterclass in "less is more." It represents a shift toward technical purity, stripping away any unnecessary ornamentation to focus on the beauty of a singular, geometric form. The Tube wall lamp is exactly what its name suggests—a perfect cylinder. However, its brilliance lies in the details of its construction and its interaction with the wall. The lamp consists of a linear opal methacrylate diffuser held in place by two minimalist metal supports. This creates a soft, continuous glow that appears to float just off the mounting surface.Architects and interior designers gravitate toward the Tube because it functions as integrated lighting.
