The brocade surface consists of patterns in the shape of eight petals, both large and small, along with vertically intersecting stripes. At the center, there are interlocking Ruyi motifs and lotus seed-lotus flower designs. In the gaps between the eight-petaled patterns and the straight stripes, the blanket is adorned with the “rectangular pattern,” commonly found on bronze vessels.
